Everyone has life goals...or at least everyone should. Getting our pictures up on the "Wall of Flame" at Pluckers in Austin, Texas has been one of our more admirable goals. We ventured out to Austin for the the BCS Championship between Texas (Hook 'Em!) and Alabama and decided that it was time to bring on the chicken.
So what does getting your mug up on the "Wall of Flame" entail, you ask? The answer is simple -- downing 25 of these bad mamma jamma "Fire-in-the-Hole" wings smothered in jalapenos, habaneros and mouth scorching hot sauce...all without dying.
So we prepared for battle.
And oh, did it hurt.
Jesse wasn't scurrred, though. But being the good Marine that he is, Jesse very wisely mentally prepared one week before battle with the chicken.
And then there were two. Val had a hot date with the ladies' restroom midway through battle.
Victory.
